Spy x Family continues the tradition of franchise anime films having awful legs. Worst per-screen average of any movie in the top 20.
I wonder if this will cause Sony to re-evaluate things. Not every anime property can justify a mainstream theatrical release. If Spy x Family's struggled this much, I can't see Blue Lock or Overlord doing any better. While they're not convenient for all fans, a multi-day event release sometimes makes more sense. |
